Itinerary
You shall be met by our Driver/ tour guide at the Airport and transferred to the Hotel. Short briefings about the tour as you make final preparations.
Overnight: Flame Tree Hotel (Bed & Breakfast)
In the morning, head out on a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, arriving early for lunch at Akagera Game Lodge. After lunch, go for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema and expect to see hippos, crocodiles, and lots of water birds.

Early morning and with a packed lunch, you will go for a game drive up to the northern part of the park to catch up with early risers before they go into hiding. Expect to see lions, antelopes, giraffes, and bushbucks among others. (Akagera NP is home to the Big Five).

Re-enter the park for another half-day game drive with a packed lunch, thereafter proceed to visit the Imigongo arts (decorating houses using cow dung, which is usually produced by women. The dung is dried and mixed with colors made from organic materials like plants to create mostly white, Black, and red paints.

In the morning, drive to Volcanoes National Park via Kigali, a city tour where you will have an option of visiting visit Murambi Genocide Museum and stopping in Butare to visit the National Museum. After lunch, you have a scenic drive through terraced hills to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

We will head for the Diane Fossey Center 3 -4 hour walk, taking us through the history of the research center and its benefits to the community. On return, if time allows, you can go for a nature walk/ sightseeing or visit the local communities or cultural center, where you will be told stories about the Rwandese and also enjoy their cultural dances.
Dinner and Overnight at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge ( Full Board)
On this day, you will either go for golden monkey tracking or go for the Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke Research Center, where Dian, an American anthropologist, spent years researching and conserving the gorillas before she was killed and buried next to Digit, a silverback gorilla.
Have lunch at your lodge late in the afternoon, undertake a nature walk near the Volcanoes National Park, or visit the visit of Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village.
Overnight: Le Bambou Lodge (Full Board)
After breakfast, drive alongside Lake Kivu to the Magnificent Nyungwe Forest. The road is scenic and offers a panoramic view of the lake and hills. On arrival, check in, have lunch, and in the evening do a canopy walk – enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of different bird species such as the Rwenzori Turacos, Hornbills, among others.
Dinner and Overnight at Gisakura Guest House (Full Board)
After breakfast, drive to the Northern part town of Rubavu, en route visit the coffee and tea plantations. On arrival, check into your hotel, have lunch, then an afternoon optional boat ride to explore nearby Islands on Lake Kivu.

Head to Kigali International Airport to catch your outbound flight.
