Itinerary
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, meet & greet by your driver guide and then transfer to accommodation.
Dinner and Overnight at The Boma (Full Board).
After breakfast, drive to the airport at 6:00 am for your flight to Kihihi, where you will be met by your driver guide and transfer to Buhoma stopping here and there as you enjoy the art of the creator as you drive through hills and valleys, terraces, forests, among others. The Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to half of the world’s Mountain Gorilla populations. This vast reserve offers arguably the most productive montane forest birding in Africa and supports 23 of Uganda's 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species.
Once part of a much larger forest that included the Virunga Volcanoes in neighboring Rwanda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is now an ecological island within a sea of human cultivation and is of immense conservation importance.
Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs Lodge(Full board)
After an early breakfast, start gorilla tracking at 8:00 a.m. in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. While this is a very challenging walk, it is surely one of the highlights of a trip to Uganda.
Each group is limited to eight participants at a time, and we recommend you wear good walking boots/shoes and carry a good rain jacket and enough drinking water. Trekking can be tough and challenging, so we trust you are in reasonably fit condition. You will carry a picnic lunch with you into the forest and you will be thrilled to have seen these rare primates (no guarantee). The return journey could be easier!
Dinner and Overnight at Mahogany Springs Lodge
After breakfast with your packed lunch, drive back to Kihihi Airstrip in time for your flight back to Entebbe. Arrival will be just in time for your international flight back home.
