Itinerary
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, your Safari guide, who will transfer you to your hotel in Kigali, will meet you. Take a rest, then after lunch, enjoy a city tour with stops at the genocide memorial sites and other places of interest.

After an early breakfast, head to Nyungwe Forest National Park with a lunch stop in Huye at the popular Ibis Hotel. Visit the old palace in Nyanza. Drive past green hills of tea and the vast Nyungwe Forest.
This forest is inhabited by many primate species like Chimpanzees, Red-tailed monkeys, white colobus monkeys, and many others.
Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Lodge. Full board
This morning, you will go for chimp tracking in Nyungwe National Park, enjoying a full-day guided nature walk in the forest in search of the 13 recorded species of primates, including chimpanzees, large groups of Rwenzori colobus velvet monkeys, olive baboons, and grey-cheeked Mangabey.
Home to over 275 bird species, this is also the most important birding site in Rwanda. Tracking is on steep slippery hillsides, and viewing is unpredictable.

After breakfast, depart Nyungwe Forest National Park and start your drive to Parc National des Volcans through the same winding roads. Y
You will be fascinated by the view of the Volcano Mountains.
Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge. Full board
After an early breakfast, depart for the park headquarters for the briefing on Gorilla trip formalities with a packed lunch and trekking gear to enable you to trek easily.
Set off for the trek into the tropical rain forest in search of the habituated gorilla groups. It’s the most breathtaking and distressing wildlife experience one can have by getting close to the animals to get a good observation.
The huge biodiversity, implausible scenery, and extraordinary views also attract tourists.

After breakfast, depart Parc Nationale des Volcans and start your drive to transfer to the east of Rwanda into Akagera National Park which borders Tanzania.

You will have an early morning game drive in the park. During the safari/game drive, you may see a variety of game like elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffalo, impalas, baboons, among others, and a variety of bird life, getting back in time for breakfast.
In the afternoon, drive down to Lake Ihema for a boat ride, getting back in time for dinner.

Head out for another safari/game drive, getting back in time for breakfast before starting on your drive back to Kigali in time for your departure flight.Â
